One of my favourite types of photography is shooting dance, capturing movement presents it’s own challenges and we’ll be working through the gear and techniques to enable you to shoot images similar to this

This will be a 6 – 8 person workshop and will cost £95 per student and will take place here this great studio has an excellent cove which is perfect for this style of photography.
The first session will commence at 11am will cover the choice of equipment for dance photography, we’ll cover the best lights to stop motion, types of modifier, focus modes and limiting the effect of ambient light.
We’ll then move on to me demonstrating a shoot with our dancer / model for the day (Emma). I’ll be shooting tethered to Capture One and you’ll be able to see a typical black and white and colour workflow that produces images similar to those on my flickr feed If you’ve an iPad or iPhone you can connect wirelessly and view the images as they are shot using the Capture Pilot application available from the App store.
The total time for these initial sessions will be around 1 1/2 hours.
After a short break you’ll have the opportunity to work with Emma using your own equipment and put in to practice what you learnt in the morning session. This session will last for 2 hours.
