Off camera flash workshop

This workshop concentrates on the so called ‘Strobist’ style of photography in other words using small off camera flashes for creative effect.

We will start at 11:00 with a brief run through of the equipment to be used on the day and some basic principles.

The main tutorial session will follow and I’ll start shooting for the day using just natural light and reflectors and gradually work through a series of headshot set-ups with a professional model introducing different lighting sources on each occasion.

We’ll then apply these techniques to full length fashion images and use off camera flash to achieve them.

After a short break we will resume with an assignment for students to use the knowledge from the earlier session (and their own experience) to agree and shoot work of their own.  This will be guided throughout and the emphasis will be on sharing knowledge.

The day will conclude with a review of the learning and any outstanding questions.

The cost of the workshop is £90 and we would aim to finish around 4pm. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

The next workshop will take place on the 30th October please contact me to book, which will require a £40 deposit.

Paul Reiffer - Hi Paul,

Very interested in this off-camera-flash workshop. I DO use off-camera flash when on location, but to varying levels of success. I think working on the “right way” of shooting strobist would be a much better way forward!

Cheers,

Paul.

Alun Roberts - Hi Paul
I would be interested in information on any forthcoming courses you are thinking of putting on especially off-camera flash / strobist.
Alun

Len - When will your next Off camera flash workshop be held as there is no date on this page.

Rob Tomlinson - Hi

Would be interested in improving my photography with your help!

How do I book onto your next course?

Rob
